About Denelle

Denelle was admitted to practice in Washington in 2006.  She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Seattle University School of Law in 2006, and her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Washington in 1999.

Denelle’s practice focuses on estate planning and estate administration.  When working with her estate planning clients, she works to provide plans that simplify their goals, honor their end-of-life wishes, and minimize estate taxes.  She also prepares special needs trust planning documents, for clients who need this planning for a loved one. And when the time comes to settle an estate, Denelle guides estate administrators through the process step-by-step, helping them avoid pitfalls while working toward a smooth and complete distribution of the estate.

Denelle’s clients appreciate the care and attention she extends to them. She takes the time to understand her client’s goals and helps her clients find practical solutions. She takes the time to make sure her client’s questions are answered and that they have confidence in the process.

Before becoming an estate attorney, Denelle provided ethics and legal counsel to academic medical centers and research institutions including the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.  This included legal and contract support for international research enterprises in HIV research and oncology clinical trials. In law school, she also worked with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, in both the Health Sciences Division and the Criminal Justice Division.

Outside of work, Denelle enjoys volunteering and speaking with organizations including Northwest Justice Project and the Washington State Bar Association. Her service within her community extends to supporting her local schools including their food pantries during the pandemic. Denelle is the proud mom of two amazing kids and, in her free time, you can find her hiking, traveling, and making memories.

Denelle is a member of the National and Washington Academies of Elder Law Attorneys, the King County Bar Association Real Property, Trusts, and Estate Section, and the Guardianship and Elder Law Section.
