Background

Angela began her career as a nurse, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's in Nursing and Health Administration from the University of Washington. That foundation in healthcare shaped her approach to law: a deep commitment to understanding client needs before offering advice.

She graduated with honors from the Seattle University School of Law in 2006. During law school, she met co-founder Denelle Reilly, and their professional partnership eventually led to establishing Macey-Cushman & Reilly, PLLC together. Prior to starting the new firm, Angela was a partner at the Seattle law firm of Somers Tamblyn Isenhour Bleck, where she worked closely with Barbara Isenhour and Sean Bleck (the area's top leaders in disability and special needs planning attorneys) before their retirement in 2024.

Angela enjoys direct representation of clients, as well as consultation with attorneys when they encounter specialized benefits planning considerations in estate planning, litigation, and family law. She is frequently appointed by judges and commissioners in Washington to draft specialized trusts to protect settlements. She also advises professional fiduciary companies in the administration of Special Needs Trusts.

Angela creates understandable legal advice and tailored planning documents designed to fit each client's needs. She begins every client engagement by understanding your objectives and concerns, then works to translate complex legal concepts into language that makes sense for your life.
